Whoever posted that video on you tube thought the 3 year old could rap, not me. I simply did a search and that is what came up. I did not listen to it and it was hardly the only example.

Sounds to me like rappers are trying to come up with these "styles" so they can be special and not get lost in the multitude.

You can call my opinion ignorance if you like, but I really do not appreciate it. I suggest in future you disagree with people without resorting to name calling or insults, that behavior does not lend itself to your claim that you are a "mature 17 year old".

By the way my point of everyone can do it, does not mean that I would WANT to make any kind of rap. Although if I had the desire to I bet I could. Might not be what you would consider good but that is a matter of opinion isn't it.

i listen to both rock and rap, both have good qualities to them and i can say that in the rock and rap genres each song is different and some with the same meaning, i believe neither is better than the other because its like comparing cats and dogs they are both different and you will always have people who dislike one side or like me love both sides for what they offer, if a person who singlely listens to rock of course they are going to put in stereotypes about people who listen to rap and vis versa, come one people be open minded

I feel sorry for most of the people in this thread. You really should take time out to look over the history of music before you smash the kind of music you dont like. In reality, more often than not...you tend not to like music(or insert here) for what you dont know about it. You grow up around typically one sided and dont like the other side. If you grew up around rock, thus typically not liking rap......it could have easily been switched.

When are people going to learn about branching out and trying new things. Its one thing to get more enjoyment out of one type of music compared to others........its another thing to say things like....rap sucks cuz it only talks about getting rich/laid/and wearing crappy clothes.

I hate to disappoint all the uninformed people out there, but music has transcended through time talking about the same kinds of things. Music has been something for everyone to get away from the normalcy of life.

Lets look at how ROCKERS over the years have dressed completely different from the "normal" lifestyle........so do RAPPERS.....but so do almost ever other musicians. Lets look at how ROCKERS talk about getting sex/drinking/death/lifelosses.....OH WAIT so do RAPPERS and everyone else.
I could easily list more.

DO YOU SEE the correlations???? Music typically is the same things throughout genres, but is only expressed differently through words/looks/and beats. Music is not only an out for the fans, but for the artists too.

Its completely okay to enjoy one genre over another genre. But to call out one genre for the "same things" as what your fav genre talks about......is NAIVE!

After my rant.....i prefer rap over rock. Its just whats mainly on my ipod and whats makes me feel good. BUT the fact is.....i like all music. I listen to Hip Hop, Reggae, Dancehall, Dance, Techno, Trance, Rock, Country, Blues, Swing, Alternative, Old Rock, Jazz, and the list goes on.

Be more informed Not just about what you like, but about what you dont like before you make an uneducated post about........I dont like that cuz ...like ..gosh...like zomg.....its not what my friends listen to...like gee...skate or die...like ...its weird... oh ffs

Calling an ignorant post ignorant is not insulting in any way. If you get emotionally hurt when someone calls you out on that, then I suggest that you stop making ignorant posts. The only thing we disagree on is that you dislike rap, and I like rap. I really don't care about the other ignorant opinions, I'm just pointing out that they are ignorant. I'm not angry, and again, nowhere in this thread have I insulted you or anyone. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but again, when someone posts an ignorant opinion, I'm going to call them out on that.
